by Angie, so I have to list 6 weird things about me:

1. I never learned to dive, although I can swim.

2. I have three kidneys (due to a transplant six years ago when they didn’t take out either of my own) and my husband has one (I have his other one!).

3. I was in the Army for three years.
4. I live in Louisiana but I hate seafood – any kind.
5. I love superheroes and even stood in line at Universal studios, with little kids, so I could have my picture taken with a couple of X-Men.
6. I never developed a “thing” for shoes, but man, I love purses!!!

I tag anyone who wants to do it!

A card I made this weekend.

Get Well card I made for my mother-in-law
My mother-in-law’s been having trouble with her blood pressure going really high then dropping really low, so she’s been in and out of the emergency room a lot recently. Late last week, she was put in the hospital so they could figure out what’s going on. I decided on Sunday to make her a get well card (Sunday is my day to just play with my “toys”), however, just as I got everything out to work on the card, she called to say she was home! I made the card anyway, and will send it to her.
The stamps are all from Stampin’ Up! (the Get Well one is old), the paper probaby came from Michael’s and the color pencils are also from SU! (watercolor pencils).

Scary Sunday but all’s well that ends well

Yesterday in the middle of mass, The Girl, who sings in the contemporary choir with her Dad, passed out. Two of the choir members got The Boy and me from the pew and immediately took him so I could tend to my daughter. She is fine now and turns out one of my son’s playmates from the church’s preschool has a father AND uncle, both doctors who happened to be there. We got her to the back hallway lying down when she came too, and she is fine now. We think it has to do with a virus that’s been going around the family, as DH felt lightheaded and like he was going to faint later in the day.

She never hit her head (other people in the choir caught her) and she was acting completely normal later in the day (even harrassing me because her lunch wasn’t ready fast enough). It’s just that as a mom, I keep replaying the scary parts in my head and thinking of all the things it could have been!

She went to school today and is leaving school with the bowling team at 12:30 and won’t be home until 8:30 pm. Yes, her father and I are worried, but realistically I know we don’t have anything to worry about.

Just, I need some spiritual help to get through today until I see her again.

Oh, and my son has an appointment with an audiologist today. I’m not worried about that, but it’s there.

Now if only all of them would buy my book…
